Pizza Base

Writer: Emma DarcyEmma Darcy

Every time I ask Brad what he wants for dinner his answer is pizza. This is my go to for home made bases. I will usually double this and freeze the bases on there own, if there is any extra. You do have to pre make these bases but they don't take long at all.

You can make small or medium size bases. This recipe will give you 2 medium size bases.

Ingredients

2 medium eggs

40g butter (melted)

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon dried oregano

¼ cup warm water

⅔ cup tapioca flour

⅓ cup coconut flour

Preheat the oven to 220 °C.

Whisk together the eggs with melted butter, seasoning and water, until fluffy.

Add tapioca and coconut flour to the mix and mix through well. You should have a thick batter.

Place a sheet of baking paper on a flat oven tray (you might need 2 trays). Place half the mix onto baking paper and flat out with a spoon till it looks like a pizza base.

Place in the oven for 7-8 minutes, until lightly brown.

Add toppings re-cook.

You can make extra of these a freeze them up to 3 months
